Self Assessment - How Are Your Systems?

These self-assessments have been designed to have you stop and think. Its an opportunity to explore other options as the questions trigger alternative strategies and actions. Often I have found that if you have available a tool for quiet reflection the answer to your problem will become apparent.

Respond to the following questions with a tick in the Yes or No Columns

3. Do you have documentation of systems and processes?

 

 

4. Do you have a low rate of complaints from customers/clients on errors in delivery of product or service?

 

 

5. Do you take suggestions and input from staff on systems improvement?

 

 

6. Do you take suggestions from customers/clients on systems improvement?

 

 

7. Are you able to complete work without picking up and putting it down several times?

 

 

8. Is your system documentation located in a knowledgement management system readily accessible by all members of your organization no matter where they are located?

 

 

9. Is it easy for your clients/customers to do business with your organization?

 

 

10. Would you say management in your organization sees the value of building systems?

 

 

 

 

 

If you had difficulty answering Yes for most of these questions then you may have opportunities for improvement in your systems and processes. In any case you ought to discuss your responses with someone else in your organisation to check your perceptions. It will be a good communications starter!
